Frontier Bound - Part Two

Day 3

We had a lot of breakout sessions on this day. In fact, it was all breakout sessions until lunch. In the afternoon we had a time of reflection among the CNEP students, which was really good (and emotional, naturally).
In fact, at the end of our reflection time, I started to feel a whole lot of emotion about the past 5 months......and knew that if I talked to someone about how I was feeling, the floodgates would open. But I was okay. I guess I'll be ready to talk about it when the time is right.

We then voted for our student council leaders for each class: CNEP, FNP, and WHCNP. We also received our student IDs!!! Very exciting. Lastly, before dinner, we all walked out to the chapel to ring the bell - every one of us. Pretty cool. :) Then we had dinner.

Then we had Follies! I am under oath (jk, not really) to not say anything about it. No, but seriously, like one of our faculty said, what happens at Follies, stays at Follies. ;) I can say that it was very fun, creative, and entertaining!!
After Follies, we circled up one last time and then said our goodbyes.

My roommate left for home that night. Unfortunately, she had some car trouble at first, but after some help from a terrific staff member, she was on her way. And she did make it home very safely the next morning - yay!

Day 4

I was up about 10 minutes earlier than usual, just cleaning up and stripping the sheets on my bed. Went to breakfast, then was headed out on the bus at 8:00 AM. The bus ride to the airport was once again, uneventful. I did some Sudoku, listened to some conversations, and played on my iPod Touch a little bit. And took a few pictures and video.

Long story short, I was finally back at home around 9:00 PM. It was a long day of traveling, but I am very thankful I made it home safely, as did all of my classmates.

I had a really great time at Frontier Bound. The campus at Hyden is very pretty. The weather was really great, too! It never rained (and one of the items on the packing list was an umbrella or rain coat). In contrast, next week's weather forecast looks rainy and a bit colder. For us, it was only cold in the early mornings and evenings.

I felt a lot of support from my faculty and classmates. I am 100% satisfied with my decision to enroll part-time. The faculty were so supportive and encouraging, and they had so much confidence in us. Everything I had heard about Frontier was true. :)
