Application has arrived

Yes, my application has arrived where it needs to be. :D

As you might remember from my last post, I used Certified Mail with this package. With Certified Mail, you can track your package online. And of course, being the person I am, I checked the status of my package every day since Saturday. As of this morning, my package was STILL in ________ (insert my city). I was a bit worried and hoped it wasn't still sitting in the post office where I delivered it, as irrational as that sounds. I was just hoping that maybe the status wasn't updated that frequently. But since last night, I decided I would give USPS a call, just in case.

I talked with an actual human a little before 9:30 this morning, and she was telling me that with the type of package I had, I could not track the actual package UNTIL it had arrived. Like I thought you could track the package as it went from city/state to city/state. But I guess you could only track it once it arrived. And she said it would be about 2-3 days, but to make it safe, it should be about 5 business days.

Then I went to a La Leche League meeting. It was good! There were moms in all different stages of parenthood, and there was some good discussion. I soaked in as much info as I could.

I came home, and checked the USPS website again. And...............my application status said "Delivered." YESSSS!!! Once it arrived to the actual city of destination, it actually did say step-by-step what happened. It had "arrived" first, then a notice was left, and then it was "delivered." By "notice left," I wonder if that was the part where someone had to sign for the package. Because when I went to mail it off on Saturday, the person at the post office did say that someone would have to sign for this type of mail. Hopefully that is what "Notice left" and "Delivered" means.

At any rate, I am very relieved.
