One week....

till I start classes for my nurse-midwifery program.

I am nervous & excited.

My classmates were talking about the classes quite a bit, and I just wanted to enjoy the rest of my "free" time that I had left. But, well.....I did it - I peeked at the syllabi for both of my classes. It seemed very overwhelming at first. Now I'm letting it sink in, and hopefully I will feel more at peace soon.

It is exciting that I start classes in a week. However, when I think about papers and presentations, I feel overwhelmed. Hopefully it's just the thought of doing them that is overwhelming and actually doing them won't be as bad. After all, it can't be impossible, right? There have been many, many students that have graduated from this program. Papers/projects/presentations are great ways to express your thoughts. Oh, and don't get me wrong: I don't really mind speaking in front of an audience. :) I think I get myself worked up too much about things.

Hopefully it will become less overwhelming once I actually jump into classes and interact with my classmates and faculty.

I can do this!

  1. Good luck! Don't get too overwhelmed. Sometimes it helps to plot things on a calendar of when things are due. You have plenty of time to complete all of the assignments. :)
